About

Me and Wolfie

Let me begin by saying, I love my wife and I love my children.  I love my family and I love my home.  And as silly and cliché as it sounds, this love compounds itself and expands upon my community:

I love Porter Ranch.

Yes, I love this neighborhood and everything about it.  Believe me I’m not trying to be sappy and cheesy here, just honest.  I love seeing my neighbors and high-five-ing them every morning at Starbucks.  I love running into old high school friends at Ralph’s and jabbing one another about how much weight each has gained.  I love meeting other loving yet painfully tired parents at Holleigh Bernson Park and exchanging stories about pre-school while keeping one hawk-eye sharply on our kids as they dangle precipitously from the jungle gym.  I love my house and every other beautiful house built here: new and old, big and small (but pretty much all by Shapell and Toll Brothers).   I love the wide open roads and the hillside views we are blessed to enjoy everyday.  I love the churches, the parks, the trails, the Whole Foods, the library, the new hospital, and especially the new school.  I love living here and I love that my children will grow up here.

But I realize that of all the things we love about Porter Ranch, none can be taken for granted.  The very things that lend this community so much character and value are precisely what greatly demand careful consistent attention not only for protection and preservation, but also for enhancement and growth.  Whether it be the judicious handling of vacant commercial land or the attentive nurturing of a burgeoning public school, the tireless toils of hillside fire prevention or the continued expansion of a beloved park, the preservation of lives by way of traffic safety or the preservation of life by way of a new cutting edge hospital, it all demands attention.

And that is where, as a member of the community, I am grateful for the neighborhood council whose work really, for the most part, goes unheard, unseen, and unsung.   It is their continued efforts that keep our community whole and thriving.  I am excited and honored to be serving on the board with fellow members, old and new, and thankful to all those who came out in the pouring rain to cast their votes for me.  I am confident that my youthful energy as an active stakeholder, my driving passion as a family man and community member, and my capabilities to reach out and connect with other neighbors just like myself will allow me to make effective and viable contributions to the board and the community as a whole.  I vow to serve humbly and honorably and with the utmost integrity, passion, and judiciousness.
