Saint Patrick woke up early this morning to a little Shamrock Shake. News reports say the temblor clocked in at 4.4 and centered somewhere between Sherman Oaks and Westwood.   Now I’m usually an optimist and hope that was it, but I’m also realistic and know that that was probably not the “big one” we’ve been anticipating.  Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.  And there’s no better place to prepare than this spot I found in the valley:  SOS Survival

They cater to most any disaster preparedness need from basic first aid kits to more zealous Zombie survivalist gear.  People who work there are very friendly and knowledgeable, and the prices seem fair to me (of course I’m not a survival gear aficionado, so maybe there are some better bargains out there).  Check it out if you’re in the market for some solid emergency triage equipment or if you just need some rain ponchos.
